The Maralles editorial team has published a technical test piece designed to check a new procedure for releasing articles. The publication is not a news report: its purpose is to make sure the system works as intended before it is applied to real materials. The test text is written in Russian and presented as an internal check, not as a report on events.
According to the editorial team's description, one test publication appears in the journal in six languages at once, after which its content is passed to one outlet in the network. The text itself states that a few minutes after publication the material will be withdrawn. In this way, the experiment checks whether prohibited terms reach the text that the outlet is preparing for print, before it becomes available to readers. The goal of the experiment is precisely to test this stage, not to distribute information.
The ability to roll back an edit with a single action is also being tested separately. The editorial team links this feature to a rapid response to errors and unwanted changes: if an edit turns out to be incorrect, it can be restored to its original state without lengthy manual work. Another part of the experiment concerns the work of the bot editor Viktor Buryak. He now shows material owners every change made, and the edits themselves are applied only after the owner confirms them. According to the editorial team's intention, this arrangement leaves the decision about the text with the person responsible for it.
The text does not make entirely clear which outlets in the network, and in which languages, take part in the test beyond the journal's six languages. The editorial team does not name individual outlets, does not specify the number of test publications, and does not give a timeline for full implementation of the new process. External reactions to the experiment are also not described. The material should therefore be read as an internal check of how the system works: it shows how the editorial team intends to control the path of a text from the journal to an outlet in the network, but it does not confirm the scale or results of the project.
