Nintendo has announced a new Lego set inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as part of its 40th Anniversary Direct. The collectible model, titled The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona, brings the iconic hero and his horse to brick form for the first time.
The set consists of 1,750 pieces and is described by Nintendo as a «collectible display model for adults.» It is expected to launch in spring 2027, though the company has not yet revealed a price. The announcement came alongside a wave of other anniversary events, merchandise, and experiences planned through 2026 and into 2027.
Pricing speculation is already circulating among fans, based on the two previously released Zelda Lego sets. The Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle set, which includes minifigures for Link and Zelda plus a full-size Ganon build, contains 1,003 pieces and retails for $129.99. The larger 2-in-1 Great Deku Tree set features 2,500 pieces and costs $299.99. Since the Link & Epona set falls between those two in piece count, collectors may expect a price point somewhere in that range, although Nintendo has not confirmed any details.
The 40th Anniversary Direct also included several other major announcements. Nintendo revealed a Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2, new amiibo figures, and a playable Ocarina. The company also detailed additions to the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, Japan, and scheduled a series of anniversary concerts. These announcements are part of a broader celebration of the franchise that has been running since 1986.
The Lego collaboration continues Nintendo's recent push into the construction toy market. The partnership has produced sets that appeal to both younger builders and adult collectors, with the Great Deku Tree and Final Battle sets receiving strong attention from the fan community. The new Link & Epona model appears designed to sit alongside those releases as a display piece rather than a playset.
Fans of the franchise are likely to track further announcements closely, as Nintendo has not yet specified an exact release date or retail price for the set. Additional details are expected to surface closer to the spring 2027 launch window.
