The multilingual encyclopedia Factograf has published its own articles on more than 13,000 Christian saints, representing all denominations and branches of Christianity. Each article is available in twelve languages, so the library contains roughly 157,000 language versions in total. Saints make up the largest section of the encyclopedia, while the library as a whole holds about 20,000 articles and more than 235,000 language versions.
The articles are created by the platform itself. The system analyzes web resources, documents and other sources, then combines the information it finds and presents it in a single, easy-to-read layout. This approach makes it possible to cover a large number of figures who were previously scattered across different sources, and to present them in one format with a uniform structure.
The materials are available in English, Ukrainian, Russian, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Japanese and Chinese, among other languages. A separate section of the encyclopedia covers about 4,400 of the most important annual topics, meaning the materials are not limited to religious subjects. Readers can write articles themselves and suggest edits to existing texts, which turns the library into a community-open editorial project.
Articles about saints have already appeared on the Christian platform D.O.M. in its Sviatsy section, thereby reaching beyond the encyclopedia itself and becoming available to the audiences of other resources. The Chakloon Net search engine also runs on Factograf data, meaning it uses this database as a source for search queries.
The encyclopedia itself belongs to Haydamax Laboratory, the startup unit of the Haydamax holding. The project is thus developing within a corporate structure that has created a separate division to work with digital knowledge bases. No official comments on further expansion plans or the volume of future library updates are included in the materials.
