Bullet For My Valentine have returned with a new single, «Social Apocalypse,» and confirmed that their eighth studio album of the same name will arrive on March 19, 2027. The Welsh metal band's first full-length release in more than five years follows their self-titled 2021 record and marks their debut for Spinefarm.
The title track is the group's first new music in four years. Frontman Matt Tuck said the song reflects a world moving at a disorienting pace. «Everything in life is changing at such a rapid pace, and it is hard to find a great deal of positivity when you look at events in the world,» he said. «People are being pitted against each other. The world is full of conflict instead of unity. As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now.»
The album reunites the band with producer Carl Bown, who has worked on four previous Bullet For My Valentine records. It also features two guest collaborations: Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza appears on «In The Absence Of You,» while Lorna Shore's Will Ramos lends his vocals to «I Don't Trust Tomorrow.»

Alongside the album news, the band announced their biggest UK and European headline tour to date. The run will culminate in four UK arena shows next February, including a return to The O2 in London on February 26. Bullet For My Valentine previously sold out that arena alongside Trivium on their 2025 «Poisoned Ascendancy» co-headline tour. This time they will be the sole headliners, with Pendulum joining as very special guests across the entire tour and Dark Divine opening.
The European leg begins in January 2027 with dates in Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. February shows include Helsinki, Katowice, Munich, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Brussels before the UK arena dates in Glasgow, Birmingham, London, and Manchester.
UK tickets go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday, September 30.
The new album arrives after the band cut short the later stages of their anniversary tour with Trivium last year in order to «divert our full attention towards the next chapter» of the group. At the time, they promised fans they were working on their «best album to date» and confirmed plans for extensive touring across 2026 and 2027.
Tuck had previously hinted at the direction of the follow-up to the self-titled album. In 2021 he said the band had approached that record wanting «shock, awe and to show off,» adding: «We wanted to show people what this band is really capable of.» Two years later, while discussing the «Poisoned Ascendancy» shows, he told NME that the next record could combine «the intensity and technicality» of their self-titled album with the feel of their 2005 debut, «The Poison.» «That's going to be a pretty special record,» he said at the time.
