MOGOȘOAIA — Călin Georgescu has formally proclaimed the Republic of Malta a Romanian protectorate and demanded that his fraudulent Maltese senate seat be upgraded to an imperial throne, effective immediately. The announcement came moments after prosecutors discovered a forged document at his home identifying him as a Maltese senator, a claim Georgescu now insists was merely the first step in a divine plan to restore Greater Romania's Mediterranean destiny.
In a press conference held on the lawn of his Mogoșoaia residence, Georgescu declared that the Maltese archipelago had been «spiritually annexed» and that a flotilla of Romanian naval vessels would depart from Constanța within the week to accept the surrender of Valletta. «I have already appointed a governor, a prefect, and a chief of the gendarmerie for Malta,» he stated calmly. «They are currently packing. The Maltese do not yet know they have been liberated, but they will learn.»
The Romanian Navy confirmed it had received a formal request to prepare a ceremonial escort for a «sovereign transit» to the Mediterranean, though no orders have been issued. A defense ministry spokesperson said the request was «under legal review» and that no warships would be moving.
