Rayman Legends Retold Adds So Many Music Levels That Ubisoft Has Hired a Full Orchestra to Stand in the Studio and Play Them Live

Ubisoft has confirmed that the upcoming remaster will include a music level for every track ever recorded, performed by a resident orchestra that must now live inside the building.

Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends Retold will ship with a music level for every piece of music ever recorded, and has hired a full symphony orchestra to stand inside the studio and perform each one live as players reach it.

The company said the decision was made after playtesters refused to stop humming the original game's music levels. «We realized the only responsible thing was to give them more,» said a studio spokesperson. «Then we realized the only responsible thing was to give them all of it.»

The orchestra now occupies three floors of the building and has been placed on a rotating schedule that mirrors the game's level order. Violinists who finish a shift are immediately reassigned to the next track. Management has installed beds in the percussion room and a cafeteria that serves only food that can be eaten with one hand while holding a bow.

Neighboring businesses have complained about hearing the same eight bars repeated for eleven hours a day. «We asked them to soundproof the walls,» said a nearby café owner. «They said the walls were part of the performance now.»

Ubisoft has also announced that anyone who preorders the game will receive a personal invitation to sit in the audience during their favorite level, provided they can name the exact second the bassoon enters.
