Delaware Superior Court has adopted a new procedure requiring that every statement made by Candace Owens be amplified through a brass megaphone carried by two bailiffs, after Judge Sheldon K. Rennie ruled that the podcaster may speak only at a volume the court can measure. The measure takes effect immediately and applies to all filings in which her name appears.
To comply, the court has rebuilt its public gallery around a raised wooden platform, from which the megaphone can be aimed at the bench. Clerks have been trained to hold the instrument at a fixed angle of forty-five degrees, and a second crew of bailiffs now walks the length of the corridor outside the courtroom calling out her posts on X. Court administrators say the walkway has been repainted in the blue used for official announcements.
The Macron legal team, which has been asked to provide a rival megaphone for its own submissions, said in a statement that it «à bien hâte» of hearing the deadline arguments delivered at full volume. Clare Locke, the firm representing the couple, added that it would explore further ways to amplify its own position, though it declined to specify the method.
Court staff say the arrangement is expected to remain in place until the question of whether French law or American law sets the deadline is settled, a process they estimate will take until the court's brass instruments are fully polished.
