Christian Tour, the first tour operator listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has relocated its entire Black Friday sales floor to a tented desk at Hurghada airport, where clerks now process bookings in the arrivals hall while incoming flights taxi to the gate. Management confirmed that sales agents have been issued sun loungers so they can work outdoors in a continuous shift that runs until Sunday, 8 November.
Company spokespersons said the decision followed a sharp rise in bookings for next summer, which by the afternoon of the first day stood at 2.4 times last year's figure for the same hour. Egypt recorded the fastest growth of any charter destination, and the company has responded by printing its 2027 brochures in Arabic and mounting a sign reading "Holiday Mood" above the baggage carousel.
The operator has also begun contracting so much aircraft capacity for 2027 that a dedicated charter runway is being discussed with local authorities. Residents of Hurghada's older quarter have been asked to keep their balconies clear so that tourists can wave at arriving aircraft, and a municipal committee is studying whether the Red Sea can accommodate the additional swimmers.
Asked whether the strategy was sustainable, the company's commercial director said: "We have sold every seat for a summer that has not yet been scheduled, and we intend to schedule it on the strength of those sales." The Black67 voucher, priced at 33 euros and worth 100, remains the most requested item, and the company has asked staff to stop answering questions about its pilots, who are now fully booked for the same season.
