Andrew Choi and Neckwav, the vocalists behind two members of The Saja Boys in Netflix’s animated hit «KPop Demon Hunters,» are set to reunite for a one-off concert in London next month. The pair will perform at Outernet Live on September 6, marking their first-ever live show in the U.K. capital.
The event will feature an immersive artist experience playing on screens before the performance, according to Variety. Standard tickets are priced at £50.99, while a VIP package costs £124.63 and includes access to the soundcheck, a collectable wristband, and early entry to the main gig. Tickets are available through the venue’s website.
Choi and Neckwav provide the singing voices for Jinu and Abby, two members of The Saja Boys, the boy band that serves as the main antagonist group in the film. The Saja Boys are both the music rivals of the heroic group HUNTR/X and demons that must be battled throughout the story.
Choi said in a press release: «We’re incredibly excited to be sharing the stage during our first-ever performance in London. The connection everyone has built with the film’s characters has been beyond anything we could have imagined and seeing our U.K. fans embrace the music makes this an even more meaningful celebration.»
Neckwav, whose real name is Kyung Jay Minn, added: «It is an honour to bring my voice as Neckwav, and the singing voice behind Abby Saja, to life at Outernet Live. The love and support from our U.K. fans has been amazing and having the chance to finally meet and perform for them in person makes this moment so special. This will be a night to remember!»
The one-off gig follows news that Netflix and promoters AEG are developing an official live concert tour based on the film. The announcement comes amid growing interest in the franchise, which has become a cultural phenomenon since its release.
Earlier this year, Netflix was sued by the Christian rock band Demon Hunter, which claimed the «KPop Demon Hunters» brand infringed on its trademark and caused confusion in the marketplace. The lawsuit has not affected the rollout of live events tied to the film.
The London show gives U.K. fans their first chance to hear the film’s music performed live by the original vocalists. Choi and Neckwav have both been active in the music industry, with Choi known for his work as a singer-songwriter and Neckwav for his contributions to various K-pop projects.
