Roxanne Perez will step into her first Triplemania event without the usual support of her Judgment Day stablemates, but the WWE star says she is not worried about going it alone. Perez is set to compete in a fatal four-way match at Triplemania 34 Night 1 on Friday in Las Vegas, facing La Hiedra, Faby Apache and Natalya. The winner will earn a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
The match marks a rare solo outing for Perez, who typically appears alongside Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on Monday Night Raw. The three women have regularly supported one another at ringside, but Perez told OutKick Dropkick that Morgan and Rodriguez were absent as she prepared for the No. 1 contender bout. «I think they know that I got this. I think they know that I came all the way over here to take an opportunity for myself,» Perez said. «I think being surrounded by champions and obviously there is not another opportunity for a title on the main roster right now because my girls are killing it.»
Perez framed the decision as a deliberate move to avoid complacency. «The Prodigy doesn't stay comfortable. So what did I do? I came all the way to AAA to get a championship of my own,» she said. The pursuit of the Reina de Reinas title represents a significant step for Perez, who is the only woman in The Judgment Day faction yet to hold championship gold. A victory in the fatal four-way would put her one win away from changing that.
For Perez, competing at Triplemania carries personal significance. She said she received an invitation to train with AAA when she was 16 years old, but her parents were not fully supportive of the move at the time. «I have been training to become a WWE superstar since I was 13 years old, and when I was 16, I actually had an invitation to come to AAA, train here, be on their shows,» she said. «I didn't get to take that opportunity but now AAA is a part of WWE and I'm taking my opportunity and I'm not asking for permission from anybody.»
Perez also spoke about representing her heritage. She is Mexican and Puerto Rican, and said appearing at Triplemania as a main roster WWE superstar is a meaningful full-circle moment. «To be able to represent that and be here as a main roster WWE superstar, it's really exciting,» she said.
Despite her confidence, Perez acknowledged the difficulty of the match. She described La Hiedra as someone who knows AAA inside and out, called Natalya a legend and trailblazer for women in WWE, and labeled Faby Apache a legend in the Lucha Libre world. «I have a lot on my plate right now, but it's nothing that 'The Prodigy' can't overcome,» Perez said. «I've been waiting for one opportunity and I finally have it and I'm not gonna let it slip through my fingers.»
Triplemania 34 Night 1 begins at 10 p.m. ET at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Night 2 takes place Sunday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Both events can be seen on YouTube.
