Rockstar Games has confirmed the first six radio stations that will soundtrack Grand Theft Auto 6, promising what it calls the biggest and widest-ranging selection of music in the franchise's history. The stations will accompany players through the game's fictional state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked Vice City.
The confirmed lineup spans genres and eras. Cocoteo FM will serve as Leonida's home for modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo and La Gata, with a playlist running from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton. Back Country Radio brings renegade country music to the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and beyond, with hosts MW and Delta Dawne. AfroBank FM features hosts Burna and Palmsy curating African music, from 20th-century classics to contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step.
For heavier tastes, The Chamber 106.6 delivers crushing metal, with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom drawing on classic metal from the 1980s onward and channeling Leonida's deep metal roots. Flash FM returns as a Vice City institution, delivering pop music with hosts Robyn and Alex. Dirty South Classics rounds out the initial six, with Trick and Trina blasting regional rap and hip-hop classics.
In a first for the series, players will also be able to listen to on-demand podcasts. According to Rockstar, both radio and podcasts will be available in vehicles or on foot through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to smartphones. Samples for all six stations are available now on the official Grand Theft Auto 6 website.
Rockstar has said the full soundtrack will span stations covering classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, '80s, electronic, blues, ballads, talk radio, and podcasts. The company also confirmed a partnership with Atlantic Records for «Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album», a record featuring 34 original tracks from major artists. The album launches November 19, the same day as the game.
Six songs from the album have been revealed so far, with contributions from Travis Scott, Fred Again.., PinkPantheress, and Keith Richards. While the game itself will not receive a physical release, the album will be available on vinyl and CD. A limited-edition vinyl priced at £108.99 has already sold out and is being resold at roughly three times its original price.
The radio station reveal offers the clearest look yet at how Rockstar intends to build atmosphere in its version of Leonida. In-game radio has long been a signature element of the Grand Theft Auto series, functioning as both a music discovery tool and a world-building device. The addition of podcasts suggests the studio is expanding that role, turning the car stereo into a broader media platform within the game.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19. The album arrives the same day, giving fans a companion piece to the in-game soundtrack.
